In the past century, humanity suffered two major world wars, which killed almost 100 million people, including military, civilians and many others, which died victims of deliberate genocide, massacres, diseases and starvation.

In the twentieth century, civilization watched the tyrants Mao Zedong, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Hirohito, Pol Pot, King Jong IL, Idi Amin Dada, among others done unimaginable and unthinkable atrocities, causing the annihilation of millions of innocent lives in the world.
Recently, the world witnessed others phenomenon; a great economic growth in some world nations, and a major advance in science and technology. In some third-world countries, there are more cell phones than the population.
Technology also dramatically improved military capability in the world. Weapons of mass destruction in our days made the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs obsolete.
Presently, there are nine major countries that have nuclear weapons in the world.1 Check the list in descending order:

• Russia 6,850 nuclear warheads
• The United States of America, 6,185 nuclear warheads
• France, 300 nuclear warheads
• China, 280 nuclear warheads
• The United Kingdom, 215 nuclear warheads
• Pakistan, 145 nuclear warheads
• India, 135 nuclear warheads
• Israel, 80 nuclear warheads
• North Korea, 15 nuclear warheads

According to the Nuke map website2, the dropping of the B-83, the largest bomb in the current US arsenal, would kill 1.4m people in the first 24 hours. A further 3.7m people would be injured, as the thermal radiation radius reached 13.km.
Likewise, the "Tsar Bomba" is the largest USSR bomb tested. If this bomb was dropped on New York, it is estimated that it could kill 7.6m people and injure 4.2m more. The nuclear fallout could reach an approximate area of 7,880km on a 15mph wind, impacting millions of more people.

And to make things worse, there are increasing tensions among these nuclear powers; India-Pakistan, North Korea, China and Russia, often parading to the western nations their atomic arsenal. There is a threat escalation among them, which can activate an apocalyptic cataclysm that could easily devastate the entire planet.

Furthermore, in this humanistic and hedonistic society, a psychological war is taking place. The secular daily media are blasting our minds with a western worldview which claims that fame, power and money are the final goals to get pleasure and success. However, they cover up the sad reality that most people in this generation are suffering victims of wars, poverty, plagues, political and religious ideologies.
They are using “the great lies” indoctrination, of communism and Nazism that says: “make it big enough and people will believe part of it; repeat it often enough and you will convince some people; say it in enough different ways, and you will convince,…”Therefore, we are facing a ferocious assault of secular activists against absolutes, family values and Christianity.

With the internet, the world has become a global village. The globalization had made a record of 2,208 billionaires in the world, according to Forbes' 2018 rich list.3 The Amazon founder and CEO Jeffrey Bezos became the richest ever person on the planet back in July 2019, when his fortune hit the eye-watering figure of $151 billion.4
At the main time, tycoons are buying million dollars underground shelters and investing another million on a space platform where they think to run from World War III or the coming Armageddon. They also are investing in the multi-million Hollywood industry to make us believe that the Marvel super-hero characters will save the planet from the bad guys and will bring peace by their superpower.
THE BIBLE PROPHECIES
Summing up; there are thousands of nuclear rockets pointing out to our heads, there are epidemics and a growing number of the new virus spreading all over the globe, there is flooding, earthquakes, tornados and drought destroying and killing everywhere. There is an ideological war of intrigues inside of our nation’s governments, universities, high and elementary schools carried on by some corrupt politicians and an immoral media broadcasting to brainwash people with this anti-God agenda. The scenario is terrible and it seems hopeless.
Jesus gave a long list of prophetic signs that would happen in the end-times, to help us understand these days we are living in:
• He mentioned a religions pandemic of false prophets and false-messiahs:” “For false-Christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders,” Matthew 24: 24
• An increase escalation of wars among nations: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” Mathew 24: 7
• An increasing of evil on earth, resulting in a spiritual apathy and lack of love among people: “And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24: 12
• A cosmological turmoil: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; … for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Luke 21: 25
• An increase natural disaster including, earthquakes, tsunami: “and earthquakes in various places….” ”the sea and the waves roaring;” Matthew 24: 7Luke 21: 25
• Deadly biological pandemics in the world: “and in various places famines and pestilences" Luke 21: 11
As a result of these catastrophes, the world population will be under a constant fear and apprehension, “People fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21: 26
Millions had turned to drugs - An epidemic abuse of alcohol and drugs had destroyed millions in the world. Recently, the Canadian government shut down every nonessential business because of coronavirus pandemic. I was surprised to know that among the list of the essential ones, were included liquor and cannabis (marijuana) stores.
In conclusion, we are living in one of the most dangerous times of human history. But, Jesus mentioned that was never a time such as the one that is still to come: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.” Matthew 24: 21
I mentioned about the billionaires trying to escape nuclear disasters and biological wars by using their power and money, to make under-ground and space shelters. Will their plans really work? Would these privileged aristocracies of our century get their goals accomplished? The Scriptures reveal an amazing truth about these people. The prophet Amos (VII BC) wrote about the coming judgment: “Though they dig down to the depths below, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens above, from there I will bring them down… Though they hide from my eyes at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them.” Amos 9: 2-3

The Psalmist had asked this question, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?” Psalm 121: 1
And he gave us the answer: “My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121: 2

Your help cannot come from drugs, alcohol, money, prestige, or political power. Your help comes from the Lord Jesus Christ.
He said: “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” Psalm 20: 7
​
The billionaires are placing their trust in anti-nuclear shelters, space platforms, in their power, prestige and money; however, salvation comes from the Lord.
The true God who made the heavens, the earth and yourself also said in the Bible: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” (Isaiah 49: 15)
David, the Israelite king, affirms with faith: “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” (Psalm 27: 10)

Do you want to be part of God’s family? Do you want to receive God as your heavenly Father?
“To all who did receive him (Jesus), to those who believe in his name, he gave the right to become CHILDREN OF GOD” (John 1: 12)
The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven: “Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one can come to the Father but by me." (John 14:6)
Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:
Read and do the steps below: Admit you are a sinner: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
Be willing to turn from sin (repent): "In the past God overlooked people’s lack of knowledge; but now He commands all people everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30)
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior: "For, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)

What to pray: Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sins. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.
